Agfa HealthCare receives 2007 Frost & Sullivan North American Medical Informatics Competitive Strategy Leadership of the Year Award

The 2007 Frost & Sullivan Award for North American Medical Informatics Competitive Strategy Leadership of the Year has been awarded to Agfa HealthCare. Agfa HealthCare demonstrates IMPAX™ Data Center at HIMSS 2007

Agfa HealthCare today announces it is demonstrating the IMPAX™ Data Center at HIMSS 2007. The IMPAX Data Center is a conduit into Agfa HealthCare’s Clinical Data Center (CDC), a real-time database of all structured and unstructured data from different clinical sources, that presents a unified view of a single patient. IMPAX Data Center leverages a central bank of transactional and data services that can permit an Enterprise level of data and clinical content management. Agfa HealthCare’s CDC will allow clinically relevant data from disparate systems to be grouped and restructured so that healthcare practitioners can more easily access the data about their patients.

Sampson Regional Medical Center signs letter of understanding to install Agfa HealthCare’s ORBIS™ nursing clinical modules

Agfa HealthCare announces today that Sampson Regional Medical Center (SRMC) has signed a letter of understanding to install the ORBIS™ nursing clinical modules for point of care clinical documentation, flow sheet charting, and care planning. The solution, ORBIS Care™, will enable the community hospital to manage clinical data and patient flow through all departments, giving SRMC’s nurses and physicians access to their patients’ EMR (Electronic Medical Record). All clinical staff will be able to connect to medical patient medical data and report on it at any time and from anywhere within the organization. ORBIS Care is the first component of Agfa HealthCare’s European EMR solution made available to the US healthcare market. With more than 750 installations, ORBIS is a proven solution used by more than 450,000 users around the world.
