Agfa HealthCare showcases leading e-Health solution at 2007 World of Health IT (WHIT) conference and exhibition
Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, announces today that its Bioserveur e-Health solution will be showcased during a number of lectures at the World of Health IT (WHIT), held in the Austria Center in Vienna, from October 22nd until 25th. In total some 8,382 doctors across France and its overseas departments and 700 laboratories are actively using the solution today. Bioserveur, active since 1999, is a centralized platform designed to securely administer, transmit and track laboratory results and reports. The solution does not require General Practitioners to download software, but can be accessed via a web-based platform. Facilities or practices running specific software solutions can also make effective use of the system, as it integrates over 45 General Practitioner software packages and 33 laboratory software solutions.

University Hospital Center of Toulouse, France, becomes first French teaching hospital to use ORBIS™
Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, announces today that ORBIS™, the company’s Hospital Information System (HIS), has gone live at the Digestive Surgery department of Purpan hospital. Purpan hospital is one of the hospitals of the University Hospital Center of Toulouse (CHU or Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse), one of the top 5 hospitals in France. The Digestive Surgery department is specialized in oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, and liver surgery, counting 1270 operations in 2006. The University Hospital Center of Toulouse, which is currently making preparations for the certification visit of the High Authority of Health in September, 2008, has chosen for ORBIS to fulfil one of its main priorities: the deployment of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR).

Agfa HealthCare’s ORBIS™ successfully installed at Manzoni Hospital Group’s ‘Azienda Ospedaliera Ospedale di Lecco’
Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, announces today it has successfully installed its ORBIS™ Hospital Information System (HIS) at its Italian reference site, the Ospedale di Lecco hospital group. The solution is now live at one of the three hospital facilities of the group, the Manzoni Hospital (Ospedale Manzoni di Lecco), counting 681 beds of the 1.019 total beds of the hospital group.
