Bangkok Post, Largest English Newspaper in Thailand, Chooses Violet Technology from Agfa for CtP and Screening.
Agfa Graphics announced today that The Post Publishing Public Company Limited of Bangkok, Thailand, responsible for both the English-language Bangkok Post and its Thai-language companion, The Post Today, has installed two Agfa :Polaris violet-laser Computer-to-Plate imaging systems along with :Sublima cross-modulated screening technology. These solutions have enabled both daily newspapers to increase production and quality levels.

Agfa Graphics Is First Vendor to Receive CIP4 Certification from PIA/GATF for JDF 1.3 Capable Prepress Workflow.
Agfa Graphics announced today that its :ApogeeX 4.0 workflow system has received the “CIP4 Certified Product” designation from the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF), who on behalf of CIP4, verified its reliability, compatibility and other advantages integral to effective and successful JDF prepress. :ApogeeX 4.0 is the first JDF-capable prepress workflow to receive the designation.
