Willy Duron appointed member of the Board of Directors
After today’s meeting, the Board of Directors of Agfa-Gevaert NV announced that Mr Willy Duron was appointed member of the Board of Directors. His appointment takes effect immediately. Mr Duron will also be a member of the company’s Audit Committee. At the Annual General Meeting of April 29, 2008, the shareholders will be asked to vote on the extension of his mandate.

Willy Duron benoemd tot lid van de Raad van Bestuur
De Raad van Bestuur van Agfa-Gevaert N.V. kondigde vandaag na afloop van zijn vergadering aan dat hij de heer Willy Duron met onmiddellijke ingang tot lid van de Raad van Bestuur heeft benoemd. De heer Duron zal tevens deel uitmaken van het Auditcomité. Op de Jaarlijkse Algemene Aandeelhoudersvergadering van 29 april 2008 zal de verlenging van zijn mandaat aan de aandeelhouders ter goedkeuring worden voorgelegd.

Agfa Graphics plant sluiting van fabriek voor apparatuur in Wilmington, VSA
Agfa Graphics kondigde vandaag aan dat het de ontwikkeling en productie van computer-to-plate (CtP) apparatuur in Wilmington, VSA, wil stopzetten. “Deze beslissing maakt deel uit van onze strategie om onze operationele efficiëntie en onze concurrentiële positie in de uiterst competitieve markt van de drukvoorbereiding op substantiële wijze te verbeteren,” zegt Stefaan Vanhooren, President van Agfa Graphics.

Agfa Graphics plans to close down its equipment factory in Wilmington, USA
Agfa Graphics announced today that it plans to stop the development and production of computer-to-plate equipment in Wilmington, USA. “This decision is part of our strategy to substantially improve our operational efficiency and competitive position in the highly competitive market of prepress equipment” says Stefaan Vanhooren, President of Agfa Graphics.
