The Cumberland-based hospital is using the recently released features of IMPAX HeartStation to digitally review and archive 15-lead ECG studies.

Agfa HealthCare to install IMPAX Data Center 2.0 at HDIRS
Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, announces today that it will be installing its IMPAX Data Center 2.0 at Hospital Diagnostic Imaging Repository Services (HDIRS) in Toronto, Canada. IMPAX Data Center is a scalable and fault tolerant enterprise medical imaging repository solution designed to store clinical DICOM data objects, including DICOM encapsulated non-imaging objects such as waveforms, structured reports and PDF’s. It consolidates imaging data of departmental clinical information systems, including disparate PACS systems, catering to the imaging management needs of an enterprise and serving as a unified repository for large, multi-site and multi-facility healthcare domains.

Agfa Graphics acquires Pitman Company USA
Agfa Graphics announced that it has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of the Harold M. Pitman Company, a leading US supplier of prepress, industrial inkjet, pressroom and packaging printing products and systems. The Pitman Company acquisition substantially increases Agfa Graphics’ revenue in the US to more than $500 million. The incremental EBIT contribution is expected to be well in line with Agfa Graphics’ global 7 percent target. After the closing, Agfa expects further growth of its US top line resulting from the combination of expertise available in both companies. Agfa also expects strong synergies to be delivered from the consolidation of sales forces and the reduction of G&A expenses.

Agfa Graphics kondigde aan dat het een overeenkomst heeft getekend voor het verwerven van de activa van Harold M. Pitman Company, een leidinggevende leverancier in de US van producten en systemen voor de drukvoorbereiding, industriële inkjet, pressroom en verpakkingsdrukwerk. De Pitman Company overname verhoogt Agfa Graphics’ omzet in de VS substantieel tot meer dan 500 miljoen dollar. De marginale EBIT-bijdrage zal, naar verwacht wordt, zeker overeenkomen met de globale 7 procent doelstelling van Agfa Graphics. Na afronding van de overname verwacht Agfa een verdere groei van zijn omzet in de VS als resultaat van de combinatie van de expertises die in beide ondernemingen aanwezig zijn.
